B. Technical Information
What software do I need to be able to listen?
Our Player is able to play the three mayor technologies radios use to broadcast their signal according to the software you have installed in your computer.
In general, radios use three technologies to broadcast their signal (stream):
Windows Media, Real Audio y MP3.
Each technology requires specific software to play the stream: Windows Media requires Windows Media Player (WMP), Real Audio requires Real Player (RP) and luckily MP3 can be played by WMP and RP. So far, there is no particular software capable of reproducing the three formats.
In few words, with Windows Media Player and Real Player you'll be able to listen to all the radios in our database. Mac and Linux users may use VLC Media Player to reproduce WMP streams
What happens if I don't have the specific Software?
Then you'll need to download the software in order to play that radio.
For instance, if a radio only has one stream in Real Audio format, and I don't have Real Player installed in my computer, I won't be able to listen to it. In this case the display of our Player will show: "This Radio requires Real Player to be played. Free download ", and by clicking in the link you will be able to download the missing software in order to listen to that radio.

Why does some Radios don't work?
This could be due to several reasons:
- Because many people is listening to the same radio at the same time. Radio Station are capable of streaming a limited number of user simultaneously (this varies according to there technology). When this amount is overrated it's impossible to reach the station. In this cases we recommend to wait a few moment try again.
- The station is suffering of temporal internet delay and there's nothing we can do but be patient :)
- Maybe Stream URL have changed or need to be updated.
Don't worry trying to find out the reason. You can help us big deal by letting us know that you are not able to listen to that particular radio just by clicking the "not working" button in the player. We'll to fix it as soon as we can.
Why does the audio sometimes interrupt?
This is mainly due to congestion in the network. It also could be your internet connection, not having enough bandwidth to listen to that particular radio.
